A Matteson man was fatally struck by a vehicle Sunday in southwest suburban Oak Lawn.
The 50-year-old was walking across the street about 9:45 p.m. in the 10400 block of Cicero Avenue when he was hit by a southbound vehicle, according to a statement from Oak Lawn police.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 11:50 p.m., police said.
Investigators with the Oak Lawn Police Department Traffic Unit are “reconstructing the events of the crash,” police said. The driver has not been charged and police are withholding the person’s identity pending the outcome of the investigation.
