Man hit in the face after 'row at the bar' on Lark Lane

A south Liverpool wine bar was the scene of two reported disturbances over the weekend.

Both happened at Keith's Wine Bar in Lark Lane, Aigburth, in the early hours of Sunday.

In the first, police received a report of "an altercation" between two men at the bar. Officers attended at around 12.25am after a report that a man in his 30s was struck in the face by another man.

It was reported that the suspect then made off towards Sefton Park.

The victim suffered minor injuries and refused hospital treatment. He engaged with officers before leaving the bar.

At around 1.35am officers returned to the wine bar after a further report of a disturbance there. After investigating the matter no further action was taken and no complaints were made.
