A man hit by a train in East Renfrewshire was tragically died following the incident.
We previously told how a person was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by the train at Whitecraigs Station.
The incident occurred around 11.16am on Friday, March 19 on the route between Neilston and Glasgow Central.
It has now been confirmed the person has tragically died as a result of their injuries.
British Transport Police confirmed the incident stating: “Sadly the man was pronounced dead at hospital on Saturday.”
On Friday local reports suggested there is a huge emergency response however police said they were not treating the incident as suspicious.
