Images from the scene showed a number of emergency services vehicles and paramedics attending to the injured man in the road opposite Croma near Domino's.

Unconfirmed reports from eyewitnesses at the scene suggested the vehicle involved was a Porsche, and that the driver stopped at the scene.

A silver Porsche could be seen parked close to the police cordon.

No arrests have been made GMP confirmed (ASP)

Police said on Saturday that the man, who was treated by paramedics at the scene, had suffered a head injury.

However, in an update issued today (Monday), Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No arrests had yet been made with enquiries into the incident ongoing they added.

Anyone with any information or dashcam footage that could assist police investigating the collision is asked to report it online quoting GMP log 3055-260621 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
