Man hit by car in Bradford Road Leeds 'very seriously injured' say police

A man has suffered very serious injuries in a horror crash this afternoon.

Emergency services raced to a serious crash on A647 Bradford Road around 2pm today, April 4, involving a male pedestrian and a car.

The pedestrian suffered very serious injuries in the incident.

A647 Bradford Road is closed in both directions due to the accident between Woodhall Lane and A6120 Ring Road Farsley (Dawsons Corner).

There is major delays and heavy congestion to the A467 Ring Road as traffic diverts.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called to Bradford Road, Pudsey, at about 2.26pm following a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.

"The male pedestrian suffered very serious injuries in the incident.

"A number of road closures are in place on the A647 and Dawson's Corner nearby and the incident is ongoing.

"Drivers are urged to avoid the area."
