Man hides in garden shed after high speed chase with police helicopter

A man hid in a shed to try and evade arrest after being in a high speed chase with police.

Officers on patrol along Dingle Lane noticed a motorbike with two people onboard pull out in front of a police vehicle at around 2.30am on Tuesday, September 13. After attempting to stop the men they drove away at speed, starting a high speed chase.

Officers assisted by National Police Air Service (NPAS) undertook a search of the area. During the pursuit the motorbike travelled at speed through traffic, narrowly missing cars and mounted the pavement with no consideration for public safety.
