A 38-year-old Greenway man will face court on Monday after he was arrested for a burglary in Curtin.
At about 5.15am on Sunday a resident of a unit complex in Strangways Street reported a man behaving suspiciously, including stealing items from storage cages in the basement.
Officers from Woden Police Station attended the scene, and observed the male discard several items as he left the apartment complex. Police allege the man attempted to hide behind a bin at a nearby service station and was apprehended when he attempted to flee.
Police searches located items allegedly stolen from the unit complex in the bin, a crowbar, a torch and gloves.
The man was placed under arrest and taken into custody. Further police enquiries with residents of the unit block confirmed several storage cages and a vehicle had been broken into, with power tools and an electric bicycle stolen.
