A man walking home in Liverpool city centre was left with black eyes and a 'facial fracture that may require dental surgery' after being headbutted by a stranger.
Merseyside Police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was attacked on Lord Nelson Street in the early hours of Monday, June 14.
The teenager was walking home around 4am when he was reported to have become involved in an argument with a man who was walking with two women.

It's alleged the victim's attacker shouted at him before headbutting him in the face causing his injuries.
The man and two women are then said to have walked away.
Merseyside police said the teenage victim suffered swelling and soreness to his face and head.
Since the attack, the victim has posted on Instagram showing photographs of himself with black eyes and a swollen jaw.
He has also commented that he has sustained a "fractured left side" of his face and may need "dental surgery".
The teenager's attacker is described as white, 6ft tall, in his late teens or early 20s, of stocky build and with long fair coloured hair.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are investigating following reports a 19 year-old man was assaulted in Liverpool city centre.
"The man was walking along Lord Nelson Street at around 4am on Monday, June 14 when he reported that an unknown male, who was in the company of two females, shouted at him and then assaulted him.

"The 19 year-old became involved in a verbal argument with the male who then headbutted him in the face before walking away. The teenager suffered swelling and soreness to his face and head.
"The male is described as white, 6ft tall, in his late teens or early 20s, of stocky build and with long fair coloured hair.
"CCTV and witness enquiries have been carried out in the local area."
