Man left bleeding after 'horrendous' scenes outside nightclub

A man was left bleeding after what a witness has described as "horrendous" scenes in the city centre.

The altercation was at Mansion on Temple Street and left a man with a bloodied face and his shirt ripped off.

It is not clear what had led up to the incident, but video taken at the scene showed the roped-off area outside the club had been flattened, while a woman can be heard saying, "We're not going in there!"

The scenes were captured at around 12.30am yesterday (Sunday).

The woman who witnessed the scenes said: "It was just horrendous.

"I'm still in absolute shock and I'm glad I don't generally stay out past 12."

St Johns Shopping Centre has been acquired by investor AnaCap Financial Partners and asset manager RivingtonHark.

The value of the transaction is undisclosed but property news outlet EG has reported that the fee may be under £40m.

This is significantly lower than the £76.5m InfraRed paid previous owner Land Securities for the centre in 2012.
