Man has critical injuries after suspected altercation at Mt Ainslie

An incident at the Mount Ainslie lookout on Thursday evening has left a man suffering critical injuries.

A friend of the 26 year-old found him lying beside the road after what police believe could have been an altercation involving others.

The man was taken to Canberra Hospital about 11.40pm.

ACT Policing are investigating the incident. They said several people were assisting with their inquiries. Police encourage anyone else who may have information to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website and quoting reference 6815364.
