Man gunned to death in North Dublin at Sean Little's wake believed to have killed Jordan Davis

A man who was gunned to death at a friend’s wake on Tuesday is believed to have killed gang victim Jordan Davis last week.

Hamid Sanambar, 40s, was blasted in the head by a gunman as people gathered to mourn for 22-year-old Sean Little.

Sanambar was in the garden of a home in the Kilbarron Avenue area of Coolock in North Dublin when he was targeted by three masked men.

Sources said one theory for the hit is Sanambar was killed because of his suspected involvement in the murder of Little’s friend Davis, 22.

One added: “The death of this man is believed to be directly related to the murder of Jordan Davis and Sean Little.

“Pals were at the house waking their dead friend. This man had come to the house and was attacked by the gunman who arrived in a car. He was suspected, by some in gangland, of being the bicycle killer who shot Davis in front of his infant child last Wednesday.”

Sanambar, from Iran but who was living in Ireland for several years, had several tear drop tattoos on his face below his right eye – traditionally a marker in gangs he has killed before.

It is believed he had convictions for attacking women working in a brothel.

A source said: “He had lived in Longford in the past and a number of other locations in the country.

“He had come into Ireland as an asylum seeker apparently. He was suspected of being a gunman for Mr Flashy’s Gucci Gang based in the Finglas area of Dublin.

“Jordan Davis and Sean Little were suspected of being associated with the Gucci Gang and it is believed they were killed over giant drug debts.”

The mob, led by a North Dublin thug known as Mr Flashy because of his interest in luxury clothes and jewellery, are aligned to the Kinahan Cartel.

Little and Davis died hours apart in trademark gangland killings.

Little was shot dead before his body was found lying beside his burning car in Balbriggan, North Co Dublin, just before midnight on Tuesday.

Davis was carrying his four-month- old baby on Wednesday afternoon when he spotted the gunman and handed the child to a friend.

He said: “A man in his early 40s has been pronounced dead at the scene following a fatal shooting incident in the front garden of a house in the Kilmore area of Coolock at 3.30pm. The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

“It is understood three men wearing balaclavas were involved in this incident and left the scene in a silver Toyota Avensis (04-D-71806).

“This vehicle was found abandoned and on fire in the Castletimon Gardens area of Coolock at 3.45pm.

The scene remains preserved for a Garda technical examination.”

Gardai said they need to speak to witnesses in Kilbarron Avenue or Castletimon Gardens between 3.15pm and 4pm, especially road users who may have dash cam footage.

They asked people to contact their local Garda station.

City councillor John Lyons was at the scene and said the community was left shocked.

He added: “After visiting Kilmore, the site of the third shooting in just one week on the Northside of Dublin, I demand the Garda Commissioner and Minister for Justice visit the area to explain to concerned residents how they are going to deal with the escalating violence in north Dublin.

“There is shock in Kilmore West as yet another person was shot dead in broad daylight.

“Having spoken to some residents, I am calling on Drew Harris and Charlie Flanagan to visit the area, meet with residents, community stakeholders and elected
representatives.

“There is a sense in the area that things are getting out of control, murders being committed in heavily residential areas in broad daylight.”
