- Vickrum Digwa has been found guilty of murdering 18-year-old finance student Henry Nowak with a Sikh kirpan ceremonial knife with a 21cm blade in Southampton.
- Digwa stabbed Mr Nowak five times, including a fatal wound to the heart, on December 3, 2025, after telling him, "I am a bad man".
- The 23-year-old claimed self-defence and alleged a racist attack, but the prosecution dismissed this as a "wicked lie".
- Digwa was also convicted of carrying a bladed weapon, while his mother, Kiran Kaur, 53, was found guilty of assisting an offender by removing the weapon from the scene.
- Police initially arrested Mr Nowak based on Digwa's false claims before he collapsed and died, leading to an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
