Man grazed in Chatham shooting, suspect in custody

A person was arrested after a shooting left a man wounded Saturday inside a home in Chatham on the South Side.

The 49-year-old was in the residence with a group of people when someone fired shots about 3:20 a.m. in the 900 block of East 83rd Street, according to Chicago police. The man suffered a graze wound to the ear and declined medical treatment.

A suspect was taken into custody, police said.

Area South detectives are investigating the shooting, which police said appears to be narcotics-related.
