A man has been electronically tagged having admitted driving a van while unfit to do so through drink or drugs in Wishaw.
Ryan McFarlane appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court having pleaded guilty to driving the van in Victoria Crescent on August 3.
McFarlane, of Priory Gate, Overtown, also admitted driving the vehicle without a valid licence or insurance.
The 26-year-old was cleared of attempting to pervert the course of justice by pretending to police he wasn’t driving and possessing cannabis.
Sheriff Shiona Waldron fined McFarlane £100, banned him from driving for 18 months and tagged him for the next five weeks meaning McFarlane cannot leave his home between the hours of 7pm and 7am.
