Man, girlfriend found hanging from tree

BIJNOR: Bodies of 21-year-old Jeet Pal and 18-year-old Chandravati were found hanging from a tree, barely 500 meters from their houses, in Amroha’s Sultan Ther village under Gajraula police station on Friday morning.

Station house officer Rajesh Tiwari said the two were in a relationship but their families were against it as both belonged to the same clan. Matters got worse when Jeet Pal was allegedly forced to marry another girl from Hapur on April 27.

"Prima facie it looks like death by suicide by the duo," said Tiwari.
