Man gets 'petty' revenge on company who didn't reply to job application 14 years ago

Have you ever wanted to get revenge on those pretentious companies that never let you know whether you're successful and secured the role? While an extended time has passed and we assume that the role has been filled, it costs nothing to let an applicant know if they were unsuccessful.

After having enough of the abundance of employers not keeping applicants in the loop, social media star Little Slug Company got sweet revenge on a company he applied to work for in 2008. He hilariously pranked called company The Royal to withdraw his application after 14 years.

TikTok account @LittleSlugComedy has raked in a huge following from his comedic and viral videos.

In one of his most recent video - which has already surpassed a whopping five million views to date - shows the TikTok er ringing the company to get his own back.

He captioned the post: "So petty".

He said: "Hi there, I applied for a job at The Royal a while ago and I was just ringing to withdraw my application.

They replied: "Ok, no worries, what role was it for?"

"It was front-of-house manager," the star added.

"I'm not seeing that role listed, when did you apply for it?" The Royal employee responded.

He continued: "2008. You guys made the application process proper long and stressful but I never got an email back so I assumed you're still deciding who to hire.

"I've managed to land a new job today actually so I thought I'd withdraw my application."

"2008? Are you on drugs?" They asked to which the star was speechless by.

Following the hilarious phone call, several TikTokers rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts on the amusing ordeal.

One user wrote: "They wasted your time, it's only fair you waste theirs."

A second questioned: "Honestly, how hard is it to send an 'unfortunately this time...' e-mail."

"When I was travelling in Australia I applied for Woolworths and got a rejection email two years later," another wrote.

A fourth said: "This is how petty I’d like to be."
