Nothing can ruin a gorgeous photo quite as comprehensively as an ex.
Unfortunately, in this digital age this is scenario many of us are familiar with.
However, one student recently decided to NOT let the presence of an ex lurking spoil a favourite photo, so he took to Twitter for guidance.
Sharing the original photograph, Callum asked: "Anyone any good with photoshop ? Got this picture of me at the Grand Canyon but it's with me ex and I just want me in it".
Social media users rose the challenge magnificently, and erased Callum's ex from the frame.
Then, as you'd expect, things escalated as literally hundreds of people took some hilarious artistic license.
There were several celebrity cameo appearances and famous faces
A Disney-themed edit
Dramatic scenery added
A completely empty frame, just in case...
And a sci-fi take on things
Callum also announced that his favourite edit would be used as his profile and background picture.
We're not sure how he was able to choose because the quality was VERY high.
So you see, social media really can save the day sometimes.
