Man gets epic square sausage barm tattoo to cover up ex's name

A tattoo artist has created an epic tattoo for a customer wanting to cover up a painful memory.

Chrisse MacGregor, who works for Archangel 1608 Tattoo Studio in Glasgow, explained that one of her customers approached her to help cover up an ex's name which he'd had tattooed on his leg while on holiday.

The 38-year-old artist said the pair then hatched the idea together after a chat about what kind of cover-up design he would want, the Daily Record reports.

Chrisse explained: "When he joked about getting a breakfast tattoo, I suggested a roll and square or black pudding thinking he probably wouldn't be keen on the idea, but then he contacted me to book it that night."

The talented inker then got to work, taking just under two hours to cover the man's embarrassing tattoo with the spectacular new design.

The design also covered up a tattoo of the customer's ex (Chrisse MacGregor/Daily Record)

Chrisse added: "I always love doing tattoos that I think other people wouldn't have, with designs and ideas that might not fit into the norm for tattooing."

The photo of the brilliant tatt, which shows a roll and square sausage topped with red sauce, has gone down a storm on social media where it's been posted on Chrisse's own Instagram page and on local Facebook groups.

Posting a pic of her creation, Chrisse wrote: "When you tattoo this belter and get a craving for fresh Mortons Rolls."

One fan described it as 'iconic', while another responded: "Wow, I love it! A quintessential symbol of Scotland."

And another wrote: "Fantastic! Slice of black pudding in along with and it would be perfection."
