Man from Weston-super-Mare jailed for more than 13 years on the run

A man from Weston-super-Mare who was jailed for more than 13 years is on the run from prison.

Daniel Russell, who is 28 years old, absconded from HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire on Wednesday (December 18).

He was previously convicted at Bristol Crown Court in October 2014 and sentenced to 13 years and 10 months in prison for robbery and aggravated burglary.

Police describe Russell as white, 5ft 10ins tall, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He has a distinctive "Dan" tattoo on his left arm and a scar on his lower left forearm.

Russell's home address is in Weston-super-Mare and he has links to areas including Somerset, Cardiff, Watford, the West Midlands and south Staffordshire.

Police said if you see Russell or know of his whereabouts, do not approach him, instead contact them quoting reference number 600-181219.
