Man found with serious head injury outside Tesco in Aberdeen as cops launch appeal

Police are appealing for information after a man was found with a serious head injury outside an Aberdeen supermarket this morning.

The 44-year-old was discovered outside Tesco in the city's Laurel Place at around 11.17am.

Cops rushed to the scene along with the ambulance service.

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he is being treated for his injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Danestone Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 1021 of 31 December.

A Police Scotland statement reads: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances and how the man came about his injury.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Danestone Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 1021 of 31 December."
