A man was detained last night after a short chase by Lancashire police.
Yesterday evening police stopped a 34-year-old on a yellow crosser off-road bike in Birch Green in Skelmersdale. After being stopped the driver then fled on foot and threw the black bag he was carrying over a fence.
Upon finding the bag officers discovered cash, a mobile phone, and a large quantity of white powder that is believed to be Class A drugs. The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A Drug, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, and driving whilst unfit through drugs.

A post on Skelmersdale Police Facebook said: "We currently have a man in custody on suspicion of drug offenses after the driver of an off-road bike was stopped in Skelmersdale. Our officers from Skem Neighbourhood Task Force #SX34 spotted a yellow crosser on Fawcett in Birch Green at around 18.23 last night (Tuesday 5th July). On seeing officers, the driver fled on foot and a black bag was thrown over a nearby fence.
"Officers have recovered a bag, containing a large bag of white powder and small wraps of white powder believed to be a Class A Drug. It also contained a quantity of cash and a mobile phone. A 34-year-old man is under arrest on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A Drug, driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance, and driving whilst unfit through drugs."
