Teen found walking down Merseyside street carrying terrifying knife

This terrifying hunting knife-type weapon was found on a teenage boy after he was searched by police.

Officers on patrol in Price Street, Birkenhead stop searched two males at around 9.15pm on Saturday (July 10).

The image was posted by police after the 17-year-old was detained after "a short foot chase" in Birkenhead on Saturday.

He was released on bail after being charged and is due to appear at Merseyside Youth Bail Court on Tuesday, July 27.

A post on the Wirral Police Facebook page said: "Officers from #Teambeb acted on community intelligence and located a male in Birkenhead who had this knife in his possession.

"After a short foot chase the suspect was detained and arrested."
