Man found unconscious with fractured skull in city centre

A man was found unconscious with a fractured skull and a bleed on his brain in Bristol city centre.

The 37-year-old was spotted in an archway off College Green at about 1.30am on Sunday, June 9.

He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

His mobile phone and wallet had been stolen and his bank card later used fraudulently in stores in the city centre and Stokes Croft.

CCTV footage and images of men police want to identify in connection with the altercation have now been released by Avon and Somerset Constabulary .

One man has been voluntarily interviewed about the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

A police spokesperson said: "We’re releasing CCTV footage and images of men we’d like to identify in connection to an incident in which a 37-year-old man was seriously injured in Bristol.

"The victim was found unconscious in an archway off College Green at about 1.30am on Sunday 9 June.
