Man found unconscious at Manchester Piccadilly Station with suspected bags of spice

A man was found unconscious at Manchester Piccadilly Station with drugs including suspected bags of spice.

Officers also found diazepam and pregabalin with the man when he was found unresponsive on Tuesday evening.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said officers were called to the station at 7.44pm yesterday (January 12).

Photos of the drugs were shared on the BTP Greater Manchester Twitter page.

The tweet said: "After treating a male who was unresponsive on the station all of this was discovered on his person... no wonder he wasn’t feeling very well.

"Diazepam, Pregabalin and what is presumed to be Spice."

In a statement, police said: "British Transport Police were called Manchester Piccadilly railway station at 7.44pm yesterday (12/01) following reports of an unconscious man.

"Paramedics also attended, and the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment."

The force did not have an update on the man's condition.
