A 38-year-old man was found shot to death early Friday in south suburban Sauk Village.
Officers responded about 2:37 a.m. to a gunshot victim in the 1800 block of 221st Street, according to an emailed statement from Sauk Village Police Chief Malcolm White.
Emilio Uribe Estrada was taken to Franciscan Health Hospital in Dyer, Indiana, where he was pronounced dead at 3:38 a.m. on Friday, the Lake County coroner’s office said.
His death was ruled a homicide.
White said officers are canvasing the area and processing the scene. He said the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is helping with the investigation.
