A man was found shot dead outside his home in Nakhon Si Thammarat early Sunday morning, after allegedly killing his girlfriend on Friday.
Police said 33-year-old Kittipat Mudman's body was found lying on the road, with both legs resting on one side of his fallen motorcycle, outside a house in tambon Tha Wang.
He had a gunshot wound to his right temple. A 9mm pistol and a spent shell were found beside him. Police said it was the same gun used to kill his girlfriend inside the same house on Friday.
Police also said Kittipat was named in a court arrest warrant on a charge of shooting dead Sudaporn Jitra, a 34-year-old native of Trang province. The woman was shot three times.
Kittipat and Sudaporn had lived together in the house, along with Kittipat's mother.
On Friday the mother told police that she heard three gunshots in the couple’s bedroom. Then her son fled the house on a motorcycle. She looked and saw Sudaporn was dead, apparently shot while using her mobile phone.
Police said that Kittipat had been jealous of his girlfriend and the couple had argued frequently.
Police suspected he had caught her talking to another man on her phone.
