Man found seriously injured on Glasgow road as police launch major probe

Police Scotland has launched a major probe after a man was found seriously injured on a busy Glasgow road this morning.

Officers, including forensics specialists, arrived at the scene on Crow Road, near Clarence Drive in Broomhill, Glasgow around 6.30am today.

The man was taken to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where his condition has been described as serious but stable.

Forensics teams were spotted in the area surrounding Broomhill Cross outside the Wee Paree café on Crow Road.

Locals on social media have described how the streets in the neighbourhood have been lined with blood trails.

There are also a number of road closures in the area surrounding Broomhill Cross, including towards Anniesland Road.

However, these are due to be lifted shortly.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:"Around 6.30 am on Sunday, 25 July, 2021, police were called after a man was found seriously injured on Crow Road, near to Clarence Drive, Broomhill, Glasgow.

"He was been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable. Enquiries into the incident are continuing.

"There are a number of road closures in the area, however, these should be lifted shortly."
