Man found seriously injured on Castlemilk street at Hogmanay

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found seriously injured on a Castlemilk Street last night.

The victim was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after emergency services were called to the scene at Tormusk Road at 7.30pm.

His injuries are described as serious, but not life threatening.

Police confirmed this morning their investigation is ongoing and a man has been charged.

A spokesman said: "A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident."
