A man has been found seriously injured near Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh amid reports of an ‘ongoing incident’.
Police taped off the scene this morning at Holyrood Park after the alarm was raised at around 6.10am.
Mercy crews then raced the man to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Police have now launched an investigation into the incident and remain at the scene.
Two marked vehicles and uniformed officers have since been spotted at the beauty spot.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: " Around 6.10am on Wednesday, 9 June, we received a report of a man seriously injured in the Holyrood Park area.
"He has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
"Officers remain at the scene conducting enquiries."
