Man found seriously injured at Scots house on Boxing Day as police launch probe

A police investigation has been launched after a man was found seriously injured at a house in Rutherglen.

The alarm was raised at around 8.55am on Monday, December 26, after the 30-year-old was discovered at an address on Mill Street.

He has been rushed by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, however, his current condition is not known.

Police are now investigating how the man came to be hurt, Glasgow Live reports.

A statement from a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.55 am on Monday, 26 December 2022, police were called to an address in Mill Street, Rutherglen, where a 30-year-old man was found seriously injured.

"He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
