Man found injured on Paisley street after vicious street attack before being rushed to hospital

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found injured on a street in Paisley.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Clarence Street at around 1am on Thursday after the 28-year-old was discovered.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment and has since been released however officers believe he was the victim of a ‘serious assault’.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anything suspicious to get in touch.

Detective Constable Dougie Macfarlane, from Paisley CID, said: “Thankfully, the man did not require any extensive treatment, but this is an incident that could quite easily have turned much more serious.

“I am appealing for anyone in the Clarence Street or Seedhill area of Paisley, who may have seen anything suspicious in the early hours of this morning, to please come forward.

“If you believe you may have information which could assist our enquiries, call 101, quoting incident 0183 of 10 June.

“Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
