Man found injured after suspected attack on busy Glasgow road

A man was found injured after a suspected attack on Glasgow's Clydeside Expressway.

Emergency services raced to the scene on the busy road at around 1:50pm amid reports of an injured man.

The 28-year-old victim was discovered near the Riverside Museum with injuries that suggest he was assaulted.

The man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment where he remains in a stable condition.

The road, in lane one, was shut down by cops after the alarm was raised but reopened at around 2:30pm.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Vincent Smith of Drumchapel CID said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading to the man being assaulted.

“We are keen to talk to anyone who might have been in the area and saw anything which they think might be relevant.

"Likewise, anyone who might have been driving and recording via a dashcam device I would urge you to please check your system for anything of relevance."
