Man found injured after ‘rammy’ in Scots street as police launch probe following reports of ‘disturbance’

A man has been found injured after reports of a ‘disturbance’ in a Fife street.

Police were called to the scene on Chapel Street in Lochgelly shortly before 9pm on Saturday, July 16.

A 47-year-old was found hurt with enquiries ongoing to determine how he came to be injured.

It is not currently known whether the man required hospital treatment.

A heavy police presence was reported in the area while officers carried out an investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called to Chapel Street, Lochgelly around 8.50pm on Friday 16 July, to reports of a disturbance.

"A 47-year-old man was found injured and enquiries are ongoing."
