Man found in shop doorway with stab wounds

An appeal has been launched after a man was found with stab wounds in a shop doorway.

The incident happened on Wednesday, August 12 when the 28-year-old man was discovered with injuries to the left side of his stomach and buttock.

He had been in the doorway the The Children's Society charity shop in Outram Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield at around 11.45pm.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre hospital where his injuries were said to be not life-altering or life-threatening.

Detectives are now looking to speak to anyone who may have information about what happened.
