A man was convicted Friday of making a false bomb threat at the Hollywood Casino in west suburban Aurora.

A Kane County judge found Mustadin Muadinov, 30, guilty of felony disorderly conduct, according to the Kane County state’s attorney’s office. Muadinov had waived his right to a jury trial.

On Feb. 12, Muadinov led officials and police to believe that a bomb was hidden inside of a box truck he had parked in front of the casino, prosecutors said. As a result, 175 people were evacuated from inside.

Muadinov was ordered to remain in custody at the Kane County Jail where he has been held since his arrest, prosecutors said. He faces a sentence of between two and five years in prison.

His next court appearance was set for Dec. 11.
