A man was found stabbed to death Tuesday night in a bedroom in Englewood on the South Side.

He was found unresponsive about 7:10 p.m. by a tenant in the 6400 block of South Winchester Avenue, according to Chicago police.

Paramedics showed up and found Darwin Larkin, 59, with puncture wounds in his chest, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy released Wednesday found he died of multiple sharp force injuries, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

No arrests have been made.

Last week, another man in his 50s was fatally stabbed only blocks away.

On Nov. 8, a witness found the man unresponsive in an alley with a laceration to his neck in the 1500 block of West 63rd Street, police said. He died at the scene.

Area South detectives are investigating both deaths as homicides.
