A man was found shot to death Friday afternoon in South Chicago.
The man, 27, was standing in the street about 12:50 p.m. when a black SUV drove by and someone from inside fired shots in the 8300 block of South Colfax Avenue, Chicago police said.
He was discovered in a nearby gangway with a gunshot wound in the back, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
