A man has been found dead within a flat in Cowcaddens.
Police have confirmed the body of 73-year-old John Burgess was discovered in his home at Dundsvale Court last Thursday.
Officers say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Meanwhile, police have launched an appeal to trace John's relatives, however say very little is known about his life.
A statement shared by the Greater Glasgow Police Division confirmed: "Police Service of Scotland is appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing relatives of a 73 year old male who recently died in the Cowcaddens area of Glasgow.
"Mr. Burgess was found dead within his home at Dundasvale Court, Glasgow on the 7th of January 2021.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
"The deceased’s mother, Agnes Dunn Morton Burgess (nee Stewart ) passed away in 2004. Very little else is known about his life.
"Anyone who has knowledge of Mr. Burgess’s relatives is asked to contact the Administration Department at London Road Police Office on 0141-532-4656 between 7am and 3pm Monday - Friday."
