CHICAGO _ A man was found dead on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train when it was being taken out of service Wednesday afternoon at O'Hare International Airport, but foul play wasn't suspected, authorities said.
The man, who was believed to be 53, was pronounced dead at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday after being found on CTA property at O'Hare, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The man originally was found about 2:20 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
The man was found "unresponsive aboard a train car as the train was being taken out of service," said Kellie Bartoli, a police spokeswoman, in an email. He was taken to Resurrection Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Area North detectives were conducting a death investigation and awaiting an autopsy scheduled for Thursday, Bartoli said.
The death was not being considered criminal. The man had no visible injuries when found, an official said.
