The body of a man has been found in Cheetham Hill.
Officers were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a man on Cheetham Hill Road this morning (August 30) at 9.10am.
A man was sadly found dead on the pavement close to the Cheetham Wines shop, police said.

The circumstances surrounding his death are currently unclear but GMP say they are not treating it as suspicious.
A file has been passed to the coroner and attempts are being made to trace the man's next of kin.
Cheetham Hill Road remained closed on Sunday evening after being taped off near the Esso Garage at the junction with Heywood Street.
Pictures taken at the scene show an area cordoned off with a blue forensic tent in place at the side of the road.
A number of officers and police vehicles could be seen stationed in the area.
A spokesperson for GMP said: "At around 9.10am this morning (30 August) police were called to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man on Cheetham Hill Road, Manchester.
"Police attended and sadly located the body of a man on the pavement close to the Cheetham Wines shop.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his death and a scene remains in place.
"The death is believed to be non-suspicious at this time.
"A file has been passed to the coroner and officers are currently attempting to trace next of kin."
