Man found dead next to Leeds tower block in unexplained circumstances

Police investigating the death of a man next to a tower block in Leeds say the cause is unexplained.

Officers were called to Gledhow Towers, on Lincombe Drive in Gledhow, in the early hours of this morning.

They found an unconscious man on the floor outside the ten-storey apartment block.

Paramedics also attended but the man was pronounced dead a short time later.

A police cordon was put up and crime scene investigators started combing the area. The cordon remained in place this morning.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called to a reports of an unconscious male outside Gledhow Towers, Leeds at 1.09am this morning.

"The male was pronounced dead a short time later.

"Enquiries into the matter are ongoing and the death is currently being treated as unexplained."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 74 of today (1 May 2020)
