A man has been found dead in a car park near a block of flats in Newport.
Emergency services were called to a car park at the rear of Hillview flats in Gaer Road, Newport, on Monday morning.
Gwent Police officers attended the scene at about 7.30am and the Welsh Ambulance Service arrived shortly afterwards.
A force spokeswoman said the body of a man was discovered in the car park. Details about how the death occurred and his identity of the deceased has not yet been diclosed.
However, police added the enquiries are ongoing and the death is not being treated as suspicious. A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics responded to a call to an incident at about 7.44am.
One ambulance and two rapid response vehicles attended the scene.
