Man found dead in woodland in Snowdonia

The body of a man has been discovered in Snowdonia.

North Wales Police called in a mountain rescue team to help with the operation to recover the man's body.

The operation was carried out near Llanelltyd on Saturday.

South Snowdonia Search & Rescue Team said: "Rope technician’s were required in the recovery of a man after he was found sadly deceased in steep woodland."

A statement added: "The team would like to send our deepest condolences to his family and friends."
