Poluce closed off a street in Southport after a man was found dead.
The man, in his 50s, was found in a home on Scarisbrick Avenue on Easter Monday, and his death is being treated as 'unexplained'.
Emergency services were called to Scarisbrick Avenue at around 12.20pm to reports a man was unresponsive.
Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police are still trying to identify the man and inform his famliy.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing to formally identify the man and inform his next of kin.
"At this time officers are treating the death as unexplained and a post mortem will take place to establish the cause of death."
