Man found dead in Pembroke Dock street is named by police as investigations continue

A 27-year-old man who died suddenly on Saturday has now been named by police.

Michael Edgar, from Pembroke Dock, died in the early hours of Saturday morning (May 29) in the town's Laws Street area.

Two men were arrested on Sunday as part of the investigation into Mr Edgar’s death, and both have since been released under investigation. In a statement, Dyfed-Powys Police said they were continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“We can now confirm the identity of the male as Michael Edgar from the Pembroke Dock area,” the statement reads.

“A family liaison officer is currently supporting family members. Due to this distressing time for the family, we would urge the public not to speculate on the circumstances surrounding this incident but to contact police if you have any relevant information. The family have also asked for privacy at this difficult time. Two males arrested as part of this investigation have been released under investigation at this time.”
