The 49-year-old was discovered at the address in Huntingtower Road, in the city’s Baillieston, at around 8.30am on Thursday.

Police and ambulance services had been called to the scene.

His death is being treated as “unexplained” but police added there were “no apparent suspicious circumstances”.

The area was reportedly cordoned off while officers investigated and buses were diverted from the vicinity until mid-morning.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of the sudden death of a 49-year-old man at a property on Huntingtower Road in Glasgow around 8.30am on Thursday.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
