A man was found dead in an apartment fire Monday in north suburban Waukegan.
About 5:15 p.m., crews responded to a blaze in a tenth floor apartment unit near the 500 block of Washington Street, according to the Waukegan fire department.
While putting out the fire, crews found the body of the man inside the unit, officials said.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
