Man found dead in Anniesland prompts police appeal to trace relatives

A man has been found dead in an Anniesland property, prompting a police appeal.

Owen McQuade recently died in the property on Strathblane Gardens in the west of the city, where he was found on November 20.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Police Scotland have now launched an appeal to trace Owen's relatives, asking anyone with knowledge of his family to come forward.

A statement from the force reads: "Police Service of Scotland is appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing relatives of a 65 year old male who recently died in the Anniesland area of Glasgow.

"Owen was found dead within his home at Strathblane Gardens, Glasgow on the 20th of November 2020. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

"Anyone who has knowledge of Owen’s relatives is asked to contact Constable Rafferty at the Administration department, London Road Police Office on 0141-532-4765 Monday to Friday 0800 – 1600hr"
