Man found dead at Queens Park flats as police launch probe

A probe has been launched after a man was found dead in a block of flats in Queens Park.

Officers raced to Balvicar Drive at around 11.30am this morning when they discovered the 39-year-old.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and enquiries are now being carried out, reports the Daily Record.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

Police in forensics suits and ambulances arrived at the property earlier today.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Around 11.30am on Tuesday, 26 May, officers were called to an address in Balvicar Drive, Glasgow.

"A 39 year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Enquiries are ongoing and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however the death is currently being treated as unexplained although there are not thought to be any suspicious."
