Man found dead at Kilwinning train station at 7am may have been in area last night

A man has sadly died at Kilwinning train station this morning.

British Transport Police say they are not treating the incident as suspicious, but are still calling for help from the public.

A British Transport Police spokesman told the Irvine Herald: “Officers were called to Kilwinning station shortly after 7am this morning following reports of an unresponsive person.

“Paramedics also attended however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and officers are now working to identify the man and establish the full circumstances behind his death.

“They are appealing to anyone who thinks they may have seen the man in the area from around 8pm last night to get in touch to assist with their enquiries.

“Anyone with information can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 62 of 02/11/20.”
